Correction and Retraction

ALTASIA: Jurnal Pariwisata Indonesia is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal takes appropriate action when errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns are identified in published articles.

Correction

A correction may be issued when a published article contains errors or omissions that affect the accuracy, clarity, or interpretation of the work but do not invalidate its overall findings or conclusions. Authors who identify errors in their published articles should promptly notify the editorial team.

The editorial team will assess the nature and significance of the reported error and determine whether a correction is necessary. When approved, the correction notice will clearly describe the error and the corresponding amendment. The notice will be linked to the original article to maintain transparency and ensure that readers can identify the corrected information.

Retraction

Retraction may be considered when a published article is found to contain serious problems that undermine the reliability or integrity of its findings. Grounds for retraction may include proven data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, substantial errors that invalidate the conclusions, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or other serious violations of publication ethics.

The editorial team will assess the available evidence and, where necessary, consult the authors, reviewers, relevant institutions, or other appropriate parties before making a decision. Authors will generally be given an opportunity to respond to the concerns raised.

When retraction is warranted, the journal will publish a retraction notice explaining the reasons for the decision. The notice will be linked to the original article, and the article will remain accessible with a clear retraction marking to preserve the scholarly record, except where legal or other exceptional circumstances require a different approach.

Editorial Responsibility

All decisions concerning corrections and retractions will be made by the editorial team based on the available evidence, the seriousness of the issue, and applicable publication ethics guidelines. The journal will handle each case fairly, objectively, and transparently, following the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

ALTASIA aims to ensure that the published scholarly record remains accurate, reliable, and accountable to the academic community.
