Integrasi Budaya Lokal terhadap Penyelenggaraaan Event MICE di Kota Jakarta

Abstract

Industri MICE memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong daya saing destinasi, termasuk Kota Jakarta yang tidak hanya dikenal sebagai pusat bisnis, tetapi juga memiliki budaya Betawi sebagai identitas lokal. Namun, kajian tentang integrasi budaya lokal dalam penyelenggaraan event MICE di Jakarta masih terbatas, terutama dalam melihat apakah budaya Betawi telah menjadi bagian substantif dari konsep event atau hanya digunakan sebagai pelengkap simbolik. Permasalahan utama penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya pemanfaatan budaya Betawi dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan event MICE, sehingga kontribusinya terhadap pengalaman partisipan dan citra destinasi belum sepenuhnya terlihat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bentuk integrasi budaya Betawi, perannya dalam membangun pengalaman partisipan, serta kontribusinya terhadap penguatan citra Jakarta sebagai destinasi MICE. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif eksploratif karena berupaya memahami praktik, makna, dan konteks integrasi budaya secara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Betawi diintegrasikan melalui pertunjukan seni, tata acara, hospitality, kuliner lokal, dekorasi tematik, cenderamata, sapaan lokal, dan pengalaman budaya partisipatif. Integrasi tersebut mampu memperkuat nilai pengalaman dan citra Jakarta, tetapi masih cenderung simbolik. Keterbatasan penelitian terletak pada cakupan informan dan objek event yang terbatas, sehingga penelitian selanjutnya disarankan melibatkan lebih banyak penyelenggara, peserta, pemerintah, serta komunitas budaya untuk memperoleh analisis yang lebih komprehensif.
