Objectives and Scope

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

Journal of Judicial Review (JJR) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a scholarly forum for critical and original research on contemporary legal issues at the national, regional and global levels. Its primary focus is contemporary business law, and it also publishes high-quality research across other major fields of law.

The journal welcomes contributions from international scholars, legal practitioners, policymakers and researchers who seek to advance legal knowledge and discourse through rigorous analysis and innovative perspectives.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

JJR aims to contribute to the development of legal thought, judicial practice and policy formulation by publishing work that engages critically with contemporary legal challenges and emerging regulatory paradigms. To that end, the journal seeks to:

  1. Publish original legal research that offers new findings, arguments or frameworks rather than restating settled law;
  2. Advance scholarship on business law in a globalized and digitalized economy, with attention to Indonesia, Southeast Asia and other jurisdictions;
  3. Inform courts, regulators and legislators by producing evidence-based analysis that can guide judicial reasoning and law reform;
  4. Encourage comparative and interdisciplinary research that examines how law interacts with markets, technology and governance;
  5. Connect scholars and practitioners across jurisdictions through an open-access platform that is free to read and share;
  6. Uphold high standards of research integrity and publication ethics in line with international best practice.
