Wacana Penerapan Geofence Untuk Meningkatkan Edukasi dan Pengalaman Wisatawan Pada Situs Kota Lama Semarang

Kota Lama Semarang memiliki nilai sejarah dan budaya yang tinggi. Namun, keterbatasan akses informasi dan kurangnya integrasi infrastruktur pariwisata cerdas menghambat apresiasi wisatawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi infrastruktur pariwisata cerdas dan merancang penerapan geofence guna meningkatkan edukasi dan pengalaman wisatawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis spasial menggunakan kernel density dan buffering area untuk menentukan area optimal penempatan geofence. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa infrastruktur pariwisata cerdas yang ada dapat diintegrasikan dengan inovasi geofence. Analisis spasial mengidentifikasi enam area strategis untuk penerapan geofence yang dapat meningkatkan pengalaman wisatawan melalui notifikasi berbasis lokasi. Notifikasi ini memberikan informasi sejarah, panduan arah, dan edukasi pelestarian secara real-time. Inovasi ini diharapkan memperkaya pengalaman wisatawan, meningkatkan kesadaran pelestarian cagar budaya, dan mendukung pengelolaan destinasi berkelanjutan. Namun, tantangan seperti akurasi gps, privasi data, dan konektivitas perlu diatasi melalui kebijakan privasi yang kuat, pengembangan aplikasi yang intuitif, serta kolaborasi antar pemangku kepentingan.
