Author Guideline

All submitted manuscripts to Journal of Nutrition Research in Sustainable Health (NURISH) must be original works that have not been previously published or are currently under consideration by other journals. Each submission should demonstrate scientific rigor, relevance to the field of nutrition, and significance to public health or clinical practice. The manuscript must be prepared in English or Bahasa Indonesia using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript has been carefully proofread and is free from typographical or linguistic errors prior to submission.

The length of the manuscript should range between seven (7) and twenty (20) pages, depending on the type and scope of the study. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx/.doc) format on A4-sized paper (21 × 29.7 cm) with 2.5 cm margins on all sides. The text should be written in Calibri font, using 16-point bold type for the title and 12-point font with 1.5 line spacing for the main text. The body text must be fully justified. Latin or scientific names should be italicized. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and include descriptive titles and sources, if applicable.

A complete research article should be organized into the following sections:

      • Title: Concise, informative, and accurately reflecting the content of the study.
      • Author Information: Include full names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author details (name and email address).
      • Abstract: A summary of 200–250 words covering the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
      • Keywords: Three to six relevant terms listed alphabetically.
      • Introduction / Background: Present the research problem, rationale, and a brief review of relevant literature.
      • Methods: Describe the study design, population, sampling technique, data collection, and analysis methods.
      • Results: Present findings clearly, supported by tables and figures where appropriate.
      • Discussion: Interpret findings in relation to existing literature and explain their scientific or practical implications.
      • Conclusion: Summarize the key results and provide relevant recommendations.
      • References: List all cited sources following the Vancouver Style format. All references should adhere to the Vancouver citation style, with in-text citations numbered sequentially in parentheses (e.g., (1), (2–4)). The reference list should correspond to these citation numbers and include only relevant, up-to-date sources, preferably published within the last ten years.

As part of the journal’s commitment to academic integrity, all submissions will be screened for plagiarism using dedicated detection software. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 24%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected by the editorial board. Authors are encouraged to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure that their manuscripts meet the publication standards of the Journal of Nutrition Research in Sustainable Health (NURISH).
