Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Requirements

The Journal of Law and Policy Transformation (JLPT) invites submissions that explore current legal issues through theoretical, doctrinal, multidisciplinary, empirical, and comparative approaches. Manuscripts must be written in paragraph form; the use of numbered lists or bullet points is discouraged. Submissions should use Californian FB font (12 pt) with 1.15 line spacing. Articles should typically be between 6,000 and 10,000 words. By submitting a manuscript, you acknowledge that you are the corresponding author and agree that the journal may store your email address for communication regarding your submission. Please review the following submission guidelines carefully:

Research articles, published in Journal of Law and Policy Transformation(JLPT) , at least 6.000 words and should be based on a topic related to any legal issues. For review articles, a minimum of 30 references (80% from Journal Articles related to the topic) should be used by Author. Structure of the Research Articles include, (1) Title of the Article, (2) Abstract, (3) Keywords, (4) Introduction, (5) Research Method, (6) Result and Discussion, (7) Conclusion, (8) References, (9) Acknowledgments, and (10) Competing Interest.

Review articles, published in Journal of Law and Policy Transformation(JLPT) , at least 6.000 words and should be based on a topic related to any legal issues. For review articles, a minimum of 40 Journal Articles (related to the topic) should be used by Author. Structure of the Review Articles include, (1) Title of the Article, (2) Abstract, (3) Keywords, (4) Introduction, (5) Discussion, (6) Conclusion, (7) References, (8) Acknowledgments, and (9) Competing Interest.

Authors must register for an account and log in to the journal’s online system in order to submit manuscripts and monitor the status of their submissions. All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the online submission platform available at https://journal.uib.ac.id/index.php/jlpt/index;

Submissions sent in hard copy or via email will not be considered. The journal accepts manuscripts authored by individuals or multiple contributors. Authors are required to upload editable source files in formats such as .doc, .docx, or .rtf; submissions in .pdf format are not permitted. After submission, authors may track the progress of their manuscripts and communicate directly with the editorial team through the online journal management system.
