Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Law and Policy Transformation (JLPT) is a peer-reviewed publication that focuses on legal and policy issues. The JLPT contains theoretical and empirical articles from national and international authors who analyze the development of reform and transformation of policy law. This journal is published twice a year in June and December. We accept academicians, researchers, students, and practitioners to submit your manuscript to our journal with the following conditions:

  1. The provisions for writing the Journal of Law and Policy Transformation (JLPT) can be downloaded here (Submission Guidelines for JLPT UIB) and the Journal of Law and Policy Transformation (JLPT) writing template can be downloaded here (JLPT UIB Template).
  2.  Manuscripts can be the results of research in the field of law.
  3. Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English for 3500-6000 words
  4. The manuscript is typed on A4 paper with top and left margins 4 cm, bottom and right margins 3 cm, using Times New Roman typeface, font size 12, and 1 space.
  5. The title of the manuscript in english consists of a maximum of 12 words.
  6. The manuscript must be accompanied by an abstract and keywords in English. Abstract and digest are 100-250 words each. Keywords consist of 3-5 words each. 
  7. The systematics of the research paper must include: Title, Author Name, Author Agency, Abstract (in English), Abstract (Indonesian), A. Background, B. Identified Problem Formulation, C. Research Methods, D. Research Findings and Discussion, E. Conclusion, and Bibliography (References). 
  8. The writing styles are:
    • When referring to a chapter, the first letter of the word "chapter" is written in capital letters.
    • When referring to a verse, the first letter of the word “verse” is written in lower case and the numbers are enclosed in parentheses.
    • If in a direct quotation a phrase, paragraph, or article formulation has a part that is omitted, please indicate the omitted part with an ellipsis enclosed in square brackets […].
    • If the author or editor is more than 1 (one) person, include the name of the first person followed by et al.
    • The author is advised to avoid the enumerative method of description.
    • Bibliography should be referenced from the most recent edition and it is highly recommended to come from journals.
    • Academic degrees are not listed in the bibliography or footnotes.

Penulisan kutipan menggunakan model catatan kaki (footnote). Cara penulisan seperti di atas. Penulisan halaman disingkat menjadi “hlm.”.
