Abstract

Education that upholds the value of local wisdom is something that must be developed, one of which is creativity education. Creativity is something that needs to be improved; therefore, from an early age, it is necessary to instill the value of creativity. Early childhood is indeed the time to play; even the process of obtaining information and learning must be done through play. One way to develop creativity is through ecoprint media. Ecoprint is a printing process that is friendly to the environment because the manufacturing process uses natural dyes. The methods used in this research are lectures, demonstrations, questions and answers, and practicum. The purpose of this research is to train creativity, a form of concern for the environment, as well as increase self-confidence in the work that is made. The results of this study are that students have knowledge of how to print motifs on cloth through the ecoprint technique, they are able to express their creativity through the ecoprint technique, and of course, the resulting tote bags can be used as a substitute for plastic bags used by students in an effort to reduce plastic waste.
