Gerakan Mahasiswa Mengabdi: Mewujudkan Lingkungan Panti Asuhan yang Edukatif dan Humanis

Abstract

Students from Universitas Internasional Batam carried out a Community Service Program at the Al-Huffaz Orphanage and Tahfiz Boarding School in Batam, with the theme "Learning Together, Sharing with Others." This activity aimed to improve the well-being and education of the children through two main programs: distribution of basic necessities and mathematics tutoring. The distribution of basic necessities was intended to ease the burden of daily needs so that the children could focus better on their studies. Meanwhile, the mathematics tutoring sessions were designed to be interactive and fun, tailored to the children's age and level of understanding, helping them gain more confidence and enthusiasm in learning. The activity received a positive response from the children, shown by their enthusiasm and active participation. Beyond academic benefits, the program also built emotional bonds between the students and the children, while fostering values of care and empathy. It is hoped that this program becomes the first step toward continuous student contribution in supporting education and community welfare.
