About the Journal

Barelang Journal of Legal Studies (Barjoules) is a fully open-access peer-reviewed scholarly journal that addresses legal issues. Barjoules are published biannually (March dan September) by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Internasional Batam. The purpose of this journal is to provide a place for academics, and researchers to publish original research articles or review articles. Barjoules is intended to be the journal for publishing results of research on law both empirical and normative study, especially in contemporary legal issues. The various topics but not limited to, criminal law, constitutional law, private law, economic law, human rights law, international law, Islamic law, customary law, commercial business law, environmental law, and trade law, in the framework of Indonesian legal systems and Indonesian legal studies.

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that fall within the scope of the Barjoules. Please read the information on the peer-review process. The articles published in Barjoules are going through a double-blind peer-review process. Hence, the decision on whether the scientific paper is accepted will be the Editorial Board’s right based on the peer reviewer's recommendation.
