Karakteristik Ekowisata Sebagai Faktor Penentu Tipologi Ruang Kawasan Hutan Lindung Bukit Kucing

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Kawasan Hutan Lindung Bukit Kucing merupakan Kawasan yang terletak di Kota Tanjung Pinang Timur, Kepulauan Riau. Kawasan tersebut memiliki hutan lindung yang diterapkan sebagai kawasan edu ekowisata di mana hutan tersebut menjadi hutan semi terbuka yang dapat dikunjungi oleh masyarakat. Namun, penerapan ekowisata pada ruang kawasan tersebut kurang konsisten dan belum mampu menarik minat wisatawan. Letak Hutan Lindung Bukit Kucing yang strategis dengan dikelilingi oleh permukiman warga seharusnya membentuk sebuah ruang terbuka yang menyediakan berbagai fungsi dan aktivitas yang dapat menjadi daya tarik wisatawan. Untuk itu, diperlukan identifikasi terkait karakteristik ekowisata yang dapat menjadi faktor penentu tipologi ruang kawasan hutan lindung bukit kucing. Penelitian ini menekankan pada pemahaman permasalahan utama berdasarkan pada kondisi lapangan penelitian yang realistis. Di mulai dari mengidentifikasi kondisi fisik di lokasi, kemudian mengolah data yang didapatkan dan menganalisisnya berdasarkan teori-teori terkait. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah tinjauan dalam pengembangan ruang Hutan Lindung Bukit Kucing ke depannya.

ABSTRACT

The Bukit Kucing Protected Forest is an area located in East Tanjung Pinang City, Riau Islands. The area has a protected forest which is applied as an ecotourism education area where the forest becomes a semi-open forest that can be visited by the community. However, the application of ecotourism to the regional space is less consistent and has not been able to attract tourists. The strategic location of the Bukit Kucing Protection Forest which is surrounded by residential areas should form an open space with various functions and activities that can attract tourists. For this reason, it is necessary to identify the characteristics of ecotourism that can be a determining factor in the spatial typology of the Bukit Kucing protected forest area. This study emphasizes understanding the main problem based on realistic research field conditions. Starting from identifying the physical conditions at the location, then processing the data obtained and analyzing them based on related theories. The results of this study are expected to be a review in the future development of the Bukit Kucing Protection Forest.
