Abstract

Abstract:

In contrast to bitmaps, vector images do not lose resolution when enlarged, because all image elements are determined precisely by the parameters that characterize the outline which also plays a role in filling out the outline. Therefore, in any definition the elements in a vector image can be seen as infinite accuracy. Even with such image switches, the file size remains constant. Vector formats are usually used to store images, graphics, or diagrams. Bitmap and vector applications are equally important for digital artists. Understanding operations in addition to combining and matching existing techniques allows the exploitation of digital creativity to its full potential.
