Comparative study of database management systems between mariadb and postgresql on the efficiency of computer resources has been carried out. PostgreSQL proves to be a little faster than the other two, PostgreSQL shows the best results for updating operations. It should be noted that the speed of the operation depends on the type of request and the number of records. The results obtained are quite expected in this case MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
